Circuit Tracks XT8 · diag build 4695

DSP load meter

Reads the load report that diag build 4695 sends on MIDI channel 16 (CC 94–99), walks you through the v0.6.0 calibration readings, and gives you a short text block to paste back. The page plays the test notes itself, so you only press the buttons it names on the Circuit.

USB MIDI

Use desktop Chrome or Edge with the Circuit Tracks on USB. Android Chrome also has Web MIDI and should work with a USB-OTG cable, but that hasn't been tried. iPhone and iPad browsers have no Web MIDI, so they can't talk to the Circuit. Close Components and any DAW first; they can hold the port.

Click Connect MIDI and allow MIDI access when Chrome asks.

What the DSP reports

Mean busy (CC94) –
Worst in window (CC95)–
Worst since boot (CC96)–
Guard armed (CC97)–

Engines: not reported yet (they appear when you load a voice).

Busy % is the share of each 32-sample audio block the DSP spends working; 100 % means it has no time left. Guard armed is how often stock's overload guard was counting down to drop a voice.

Click a row to jump to it. Play notes & record holds the notes from this computer (Synth 1 on channel 1, Synth 2 on channel 2, drums on channel 10), throws away the report that was already running, records the next one and lets go. Record reading is for playing by hand: hold the pads first, then click, and it records the next full report. Emulator figures are uncalibrated: the low one counts instructions, the high one the emulator's cycle estimate. The real number is what we are measuring.
