Engine voicing preview

Design-phase proof renders for the next-generation engine ABIs: a shared envelope + filter + LFO voicing block, pluck string physics (pick position, damping, dispersion), organ drawbar registrations, and the chip v2 patch format. Rendered offline through bit-exact fixed-point oracles — not yet on hardware.

Supersaw + voicing block

20 clips

Retuned to the earbud standard: every pad has its own slow motion (filter drift, breathing, tremolo, noise texture), every lead has deep vibrato (45¢) or flicker, stabs earn their plainness through the transient. The A/B clips play the same patch with the named effect off → brief silence → on.

A/B comparisons

A/B: Filter (Anthem Lead)bypassed → 2 kHz character + wah — centroid 2462→878 Hz
A/B: Vibrato (Vibrato Sky)straight → 45¢ @ 5.5 Hz — pitch spread 0→64¢
A/B: Flicker (Raw Saw)static → 7 Hz tremolo flicker
A/B: Noise (Breath Pad)saws only → +0.17 breath air
A/B: Tremolo (Deep Trem Pad)flat → 0.45 depth @ 3 Hz
A/B: Sweep (Aurora)static → 0.4 Hz filter sweep
A/B: Wobble (Reese)static low-pass → 0.9 Hz LFO wobble

Pluck string physics

8 clips

Karplus-Strong with pick-position comb, loop damping colour, burst types and a 4-stage dispersion cascade. Nylon and steel below are the same note — only the physics words differ.

Nylon GuitarE3 — dark burst, damped loop
Steel StringE3 — bright burst, ringing highs
Banjonear-bridge pick (0.06)
Kalimbamid-string pluck deletes even harmonics (−33.5 dB)
Music Boxdispersion-stretched partials (+28/+42 cents)
Sitarbuzz burst + dispersion
Upright PizzC2, 3.3 s ring
Bell Pluckheavy dispersion bell

Organ drawbar registrations

8 clips

Real B3 registrations through the 16-word recipe ABI: tapered drawbars, percussion ping, key click, scanner-style vibrato (retuned: Jimmy Smith now runs the historically-correct deep C3). The two A/B clips play the same registration back-to-back — effect off, brief silence, effect on.

A/B: Vibratoone clip — 2 s off → 2 s deep 40¢ vibrato
A/B: Percussionone clip — strikes without → with 3rd-harmonic ping
